约翰·卡朋特
约翰·卡朋特（John Howard Carpenter），1948年1月16日出生于美国纽约，美国导演、编剧、制作人，毕业于西肯塔基大学。 1970年，担任西部短片《布朗科．比利的复活》的编剧。1974年，执导惊悚电影《暗淡的星》，并担任该片的特效师，他凭借该片获得第3届金卷轴奖最佳特效奖。1978年，执导恐怖电影《月光光心慌慌》。1981年，凭借科幻电影《纽约大逃亡》入围第9届土星奖最佳导演奖。1986年，执导恐怖片《妖魔大闹唐人街》。1990年，执导恐怖片《极度空间》，他凭借该片获得第16届土星奖最佳配乐奖。 1996年，获得第22届乔治·帕尔纪念奖。1998年，凭借恐怖片《V字特工队》获得第25届土星奖最佳配乐奖。2002年，担任恐怖电影《月光光心慌慌之大屠杀》的编剧。2005年，执导恐怖剧《恐怖大师》。2008年，执导喜剧恐怖电影《精神病人》。2012年，执导科幻恐怖片《黑暗之女》。
